Where did the name "JohnQ" come from?

The name JohnQ nicely captures the customers we serve -- the everyday guy. "John Q Public" or "John Q Citizen" are generic names used in the US to describe the everyday guy or "man on the street". If you take a good look at a sample US Social Security card, you'll feel his presence.

Who's behind JohnQ?

JohnQ is a production of the fun-loving folks at John Q Media, LLC. We're a grizzled group of Internet veterans who've seen a lot of crazy things in the Internet and media spaces, and just want to kick back and produce something fun and useful for a change. We're building our fledgling media empire in downtown NYC, in a non-descript building on a cobblestone-lined street in the shadow of the Brooklyn Bridge.



Can I submit my content to JohnQ?

Of course you may. Our only rule is that it can't suck. We're most interested in video and audio content that matches-up nicely with our content channels. We're not so interested in videos of you falling off your bike, or of your dog attacking your neighbor. There are plenty of other sites who'd love to get that stuff from you.
